Visit of Learning Support Experts from The University of Arizona

Caroline Ragano & Juan Godoy are learning specialists at the Strategic Alternative Learning Techniques (SALT) center at the University of Arizona, USA. The SALT Center provides enhanced academic support services to students with learning and attention differences who are enrolled at the University of Arizona. SALT is recognised as one of the leading international models of success in higher education for students with learning and attention challenges.

On March 18th they were in Dublin presenting at the AHEAD (Association on High Education and Disability) Conference. While in Ireland, they were interested in visiting schools with well-developed learning support programs. Ennis Community College/Gaelcholáiste an Chláir was selected by the team; they visited with a view to learning about the programmes and services we have for our students who learn differently and to share information about their comprehensive programme.
