Naomi Plays for Munster!

Naomi Plays for Munster!

Congratulations to 3rd year student Naomi O’ Shaughnessy on her selection with the Munster Schools U15 girls soccer team.

Naomi is an active member of Park united FC in Ennis and has won many honours with her club this season. She was also a member of the Clare U16 Gaynor Cup team.

Naomi trains in the North Munster regional training centre in Limerick on Wednesday evenings and travels to Cork every Saturday for Munster training.

The Munster panel represents Munster Schools. They will take part in an inter-provincial tournament on the weekend of November 17th to the 19th. The Ireland Schools management panel attends this tournament. They choose players from the Tournament to represent Ireland in the U15 Bob Docherty Tournament. This international tournament takes place during Easter 2018 and
involves Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland, England and, of course, Ireland.

Naomi’s achievement this year include:

  • Girls U14 player of the season 2017 (League winners)
  • Girls U14 player of the game 2017 (Cup winners)
  • Girls U16 2017 (League winners)
  • Girls U15 Clare & Munster Community Games 2017 (Tournament winners)
