Graduates Awarded Third Level Bursaries

Graduates of the Ennis Community College Pathways Programme were awarded bursaries for €500 during a recent ceremony at the school.

This is the second year of the Pathways Programme which was introduced to Ennis Community College by acting Vice Principal Ms Yvonne Walsh. Pathways is a scholarship programme which assists students moving forward through senior cycle into 3rd level education. There are financial and educational benefits to those participating in the Pathways Programme, who engage fully in student life and studies, and continue to third level education.

The four students who received the bursary are: Kadri Karimu, who is studying Medical Chemistry in Trinity College Dublin; Reezvee Sikder who is studying Computer Engineering at the University of Limerick; Benjamin Osei who is studying Aerospace Engineering at Carlow IT; and Uros Buzakovic, who is studying Arts at University College Cork.

Staff and students attended the presentation on Monday morning, as College Principal Mr John Cooke congratulated the students on their achievement and wished them well in their chosen courses and careers.
