Ennis Community College will host a free 2-day in-service course on ICT  (Internet & Communications Technology) for all teachers (both primary and secondary), principals and teacher trainees on the 24th and 25th of October in Clare Education Centre.

The course is titled ‘Empowering Learning with Technology’ and is part of the Logged-On project, which is supported by Erasmus+, the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.

This EU project aims to enhance the capacity of non-specialist ICT teachers to provide interactive, student-centred teaching and learning. Ennis Community College is one of five schools from across Europe that are partners in its development.

The course will encourage the demonstration and sharing of best practice between the LOGGED-ON partners and the course participants. This course will also aim to enhance participants knowledge of ICT in the classroom whilst also giving teachers the chance to experience new and innovative ICT teaching methodologies which will benefit students learning in the classroom.

The course is free of charge and lunch will be provided on both days.
