On Tuesday, Ennis Community College played host to an international delegation of European educators who were in Ennis for an international conference on school retention. Ennis Community College and Ennis Schools Completion Programme are involved in a Europe-wide project called STAYON, which stands for “STrategies And systems to reduce YOung people’s Non-completion of upper secondary vocational education”. STAYON is part of the Comenius Education programme of the EU.

Rory Mulvey of Student Enrichment Services recently gave a talk to Third Years at Ennis Community College, aimed at helping them learn techniques and skills to get the most out of their study efforts.

Ennis Community College and the Gaelcholáiste played host to students from all over the county on Thursday for a workshop on public relations for sports clubs, led by Brid McNamara, PRO of Clare County Camogie Board.

Tess Purcell, Style 'n MindEnnis Community College and Gaelcholáiste an Chláir will host a Winter Fashion Extravaganza & Christmas Fair at the West County Hotel on Wednesday November 26. There will be a fashion show with professional and amateur models, fashions from local shops and an Xposé-style commentary by stylist Tess Purcell.

We are also inviting traders to set up Pop-Up Shops on the night, selling Christmas gifts, crafts, fashions and accessories.

The student councils of Ennis Community College and Gaelcholáiste an Chláir got together today to raise funds for the Burren Chernobyl project, with a special non-uniform day, table quiz and concert. A group of Transition year students will travel to Belarus on 22 May.

Kadri wins gold in the Long Jump and bronze in the Hurdles in UL  this week. In the same week Kadri also received the Gold medal in the triple Jump in Castle Island on Tuesday. Well done Kadri. You’ve done our school proud!

The CAO Change of Mind facility has reopened. This service is free of charge & students may change their choices from now until July 1st at 5.15pm.
