A Message from the Principal

We at Ennis Community College are committed to providing all our students with a first class rounded education and to providing a climate in which students find encouragement to develop spiritual and moral values, social and personal skills and the highest standards of excellence in education of which they are capable.

We believe in the benefits of a well ordered and structured school environment which facilitates and encourages learning. As a community college we also have a special responsibility to facilitate continuing education for the local community.

Welcome to Ennis Community College

Ennis Community College operates under the auspices of the Limerick & Clare Education & Training Board. The college was founded in 1938 and caters for both boys and girls, offering a full programme of secondary education for Junior and Senior Cycle.

Ennis Community College has a long and proud history of providing an inclusive and co-educational experience for all of its students. Staff and senior students at the college work collaboratively to ensure the transition from primary to secondary level is achieved as smoothly as possible. Our Pastoral Care Team is available to deal with any concerns or anxieties which may arise during this time.

Ennis Community College is co-located with Ennis College of Further Education which provides a range of certified training courses for adult learners, and with Gaelcholáiste an Chláir, Clare’s only Irish-medium secondary school. Separate prospectuses are available for these institutions and further information can be found online.
